I'm Claire

Wife - Mom - Photographer

Hey pretty lady!

My name is Claire Garretson and I am the creator of Fiat Photography. I launched my business on April 28, 2018 and it has been such a fun & wild ride ever since! I always dreamed of becoming a professional photographer, and after many years of working with pros and perfecting the craft, I finally decided to start my own business. This journey for me has been the biggest blessing and I can't wait to be the one to capture YOUR journey. I want to capture you in the most authentic and unique way possible. You were created for greatness and I'm so excited to get to know you!

If I'm not behind my camera or computer, I am wrangling my kiddos, cooking or baking, binge watching Netflix shows (like The Office, Friends, or Gilmore Girls), searching for the perfect glass of wine, spending quality time with family and friends, crafting in some way, probably eating some kind of cheese, going to church (my Catholic faith is very important to me), or working on bettering my business. Photography is my biggest passion and I love capturing my clients in a unique and authentic way that they can cherish for years to come.

about me

1.

I received my first camera for Christmas when I was about 8 years old. (I still have it!)

I graduated from Lawrence County High School in 2015.

I married my best friend Corey on June 12, 2021 and we have 2 children, Peter (2.5) and Lily (1). They are my favorite humans in the world! Being their wife and mother is the greatest joy and accomplishment of my life.

I was a missionary for Christ in the City in Denver, CO for 8 months in 2016 working with the homeless. I was one of the photographers and captured real and raw portraits of the homeless. I made so many friends and even got matching tattoos with my closest homeless friend!

I have certifications in gemology and worked as a jeweler for a luxury jewelry store in North Alabama.

I've always had a business mindset which began with lemonade stands and garage sales. I have ran a few successful businesses.

I am a very artistic person and love all things painting, crafting, design, and creativity.

I love cooking/baking and making delicious foods from scratch.

9.

If I wasn't a senior photographer, I would love to be a traveling nature or humanitarian photographer for National Geographic or a nonprofit. However, being a mom is the best job I've ever had!
